How long is the onboarding session?
Typically about an hour over Zoom, scheduled before or at handover. Most teams are capturing usable data within the first hour after it.
Is onboarding mandatory?
No — but dry rental without it is subject to approval based on your team’s experience. First-time handheld SLAM users are strongly recommended to take it.
Can more than one person join?
Yes — bring whoever will handle the scanner, the data, or the return. One session covers the team.
Is there support during the rental?
Yes — adding onboarding to your rental includes workflow guidance during the rental period for capture and file-handling questions.
