Scanner rental for interior design and renovation.

Capture existing conditions in one walk — before the design is drawn, the hoarding goes up, or the demolition starts.

Renovation lives and dies on existing conditions.

Every renovation project inherits a space that does not match its drawings — if drawings exist at all. Site measurements get taken twice, details get missed, and the gaps surface as variation orders and redesigns once work is underway.

This is the strongest single use case for handheld scanner rental in Singapore: walk the unit or the floor once with a Lixel K2, and the whole team — designer, contractor, client — works from the same measurable record of what is actually there. Condominium units, shophouses, offices, F&B spaces: one capture, no return trips for forgotten dimensions.

How rental helps

From site visit to design-ready data.

Existing-condition capture

Full point cloud of the space, including ceilings, services, and the awkward corners tape measures miss.

Design reference

Exports drop into CAD and BIM tools as accurate backgrounds for design development.

Client communication

A 3DGS scene lets clients revisit the space in a browser — fewer site visits, faster sign-offs.

Typical workflows

One rental, one walk, whole project.

A typical renovation capture rents the K2 for a few days: walk the space before design starts (and again after demolition if structure is exposed), process the same evening, and circulate exports. Dry rental suits experienced teams; first-timers take the onboarding tier and capture confidently the same week.

Interiors rental, answered.

How long does it take to capture a condo unit or office floor?
Small units take minutes; a full office floor is usually under an hour of walking. Plan slightly longer for cluttered or highly reflective interiors.
Can the data go straight into AutoCAD or SketchUp workflows?
Point cloud exports (e.g. E57, RCP via the processing workflow) serve as accurate references in CAD and BIM tools. Confirm your tool's import path before the rental — we can advise.
Do I need the scanner for the whole project?
Usually not — most renovation teams rent for a few days around key moments: pre-design, post-demolition, and sometimes pre-handover.
Is this overkill for a small unit?
For a single small room, possibly. For whole units, shophouses, and offices — anywhere a missed dimension means a return trip — the capture pays for itself quickly.
