LiDAR & 3D scanner rental for Malaysia projects.

The Volumet fleet — XGRIDS handheld SLAM LiDAR, 3DGS cameras, the Matterport Pro3 and Leica BLK360 G2 — is based in Singapore and available for Malaysian projects case-by-case: Johor Bahru day-trips, KL captures, and longer cross-border bookings.

How it works

Three routes across the border.

Most common
Collect in Singapore

Pick up from our Ubi collection point (59 Ubi Avenue 1, #03-02, Bizlink Centre) and carry the equipment to your Malaysian site yourself. Practical for JB and southern Johor — the kit is handheld and travels in a carry case. Cross-border use must be agreed in writing first.

Approved rentals
Delivery into JB

For approved rentals we can arrange handover in Johor Bahru, with onboarding at handover or over Zoom. Quoted per booking.

Longer bookings
KL & beyond

Kuala Lumpur, Penang and East Malaysia are reviewed for longer bookings where the logistics make sense. Tell us the site, dates and deliverable and we will give an honest read.

Fleet & rates

Same fleet, same rates as Singapore.

Weekly rates in SGD, GST-exclusive, plus quoted cross-border logistics and a deposit sized to the arrangement. You keep every dataset captured.

Where it's used

Malaysian projects this fits.

The same workflows we support in Singapore — Scan-to-BIM reference, as-built documentation, heritage recording (shophouses, colonial-era buildings), property and venue capture, plantation and infrastructure mapping with the long-range L2 Pro — apply directly to JB, KL, Penang and industrial-corridor projects. Capture is walk-through and fast: most sites are scanned in hours, so a JB day-trip on a weekly rental is realistic.

Malaysia rentals, answered.

Can I rent a LiDAR scanner for a project in Malaysia?
Yes, case-by-case. The fleet is based in Singapore; Malaysia rentals are reviewed individually based on project location, duration, deposit and logistics. Johor Bahru projects are the most straightforward — many teams simply collect in Singapore and drive across.
How does collection work for Johor Bahru or KL?
Three routes: collect from our Ubi (Singapore) point and carry the equipment across yourself; arranged delivery into JB for approved rentals; or quoted logistics for KL and further afield on longer bookings. Cross-border movement of the equipment must be agreed in writing before the rental starts.
What does Malaysia rental cost?
The same weekly rates as Singapore — Lixel K2 from S$2,300/week, fleet from S$1,200–S$3,500/week, GST-exclusive — plus any agreed cross-border logistics and a deposit sized to the arrangement. Quotes are issued in SGD.
Is onboarding available for Malaysia renters?
Yes. The onboarding session (setup, capture technique, data handover) is run over Zoom or at collection in Singapore, so it works the same wherever your site is.
