The problem

A scene exists for a limited time.

An incident scene has to be released. Whatever was not recorded before release cannot be recovered, and photographs, however many, do not answer dimensional questions that arise weeks later during review or proceedings.

Scanning records the scene as measurable geometry in the time available. Distances, sightlines and positions can be interrogated afterwards, including questions nobody thought to ask on the day.

This work carries requirements that ordinary commercial capture does not: chain of custody, data handling, clearance and evidentiary standards vary by agency and by purpose. We treat those as the starting conversation rather than a detail to settle later, and we will say plainly where a requirement is outside what we can meet.

How quickly can a scene be captured?
Handheld capture moves at walking pace, so a room or a vehicle takes minutes rather than hours. The constraint is usually access and authorisation, not the scanning itself.
Can the output be used evidentially?
That depends on the standard your proceedings require, which varies and which we do not determine. We can describe our method, equipment and accuracy precisely, and that description is what your assessment should be made against.
How is the data handled?
However the engagement requires. Retention, access, transfer and destruction are agreed in writing before capture, because for this work those terms matter as much as the deliverable.
