A playground at the foot of an HDB block: the rubber-floored play area with its slide and climbing frame, the covered linkway beside it, and the trees and planting around both. Every estate in Singapore has a space like this, and it makes a good test of a scan, because hard edges, thin railings, foliage and open sky all sit within a few metres of each other.
The creator captured it with an XGRIDS PortalCam and processed it in LCC Studio. At 6.8 million Gaussians it is the densest public splat of a Singapore site we could find, and it is set up for walk mode, so you can move through it at eye height rather than orbiting it from above.
What to look for
- Walk mode: follow the covered linkway past the play area
- The slide and climbing frame, thin and curved, which a splat renders more cleanly than a mesh
- The tree canopies, where the scene thins out towards its edges
A scene like this of your own site
We capture Singapore sites as Gaussian splat scenes with PortalCam and the Lixel K2, and publish them to a link that opens in any browser, with nothing to install. For our own projects, see the case studies.
