A sunken amphitheatre that serves as a gathering place at Nanyang Polytechnic: concrete tiers stepping down to a round floor, under a white tensile canopy. Only the inside of the bowl was scanned, so the scene stops at its walls.
The creator captured it with an XGRIDS PortalCam lent by the National Heritage Board and processed it in LCC Studio. They also hid two badminton shuttlecocks somewhere in it, so walk mode comes with a small game.
What to look for
- The stepped tiers, a good test of how a scan holds repeated geometry
- The tensile canopy and the light coming through it
- Two shuttlecocks, somewhere in the bowl
A scene like this of your own site
We capture Singapore sites as Gaussian splat scenes with PortalCam and the Lixel K2, and publish them to a link that opens in any browser, with nothing to install. For our own projects, see the case studies.
